This course is an introduction to Competitive Programming, for complete beginners. Competitive Programming, widely known as just CP, is a mind sport where contestants race against the clock to write programs to solve algorithmic computing problems. Like its closely related brother competitive math, problem solving skill is as important as coding skill in CP. Many top tech companies around the world value CP skills in their interviews. At the high school level in the United States, the USA Computing Olympiad offers contests in the bronze, silver, gold, and platinum divisions to motivate competitive programmers of all levels. In this course, we will teach students the fundamentals of CP, solve real problems, and introduce students to more advanced topics and ideas.
